In this paper, a study on limited Rotated Richtmyer scheme is performed with a focus on vorticity prediction. It will be mathematically and numerically demonstrated that the Rotated Richtmyer scheme coupled with a TVD limiter can retain both irrotational and rotational flow when solving pure acoustics equations.
