Profile

Overview:

Ms Tan is currently a Senior Lecturer in School of Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), with research of interest in Augmented Reality. Prior to joining USM, she was involved in Consulting Industry in the area of Information Technology for over 10 years.

She was a Consultant in IBM Consulting Group for Asia Pacific, responsible for Mergers and Acquisitions Projects in Financial Institutes. After leaving IBM in year 2000, she was assigned Project Manager’s position in SAS Institute. Her last assignment, before joining USM in year 2003, was IT Engineering Manager in SilTerra (M) Sdn Bhd.

Ms Tan graduated from Universiti Sains Malaysia in year1991 with Bachelor of Applied Science in Computational Mathematics and Computer Aided Geometrical Design. In year 1996, she obtained her Master of Applied Science in Computer Technology from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
