The 31st International Conference on Finite or Infinite Dimensional Complex Analysis and Applications
20-24 August 2025

The School of Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is delighted to host the International Conference on Finite or Infinite Dimensional Complex Analysis (ICFIDCAA) from August 20-24, 2025, in our beautiful Penang campus.

ICFIDCAA, which began as a colloquium at Pusan National University in 1993, has become a leading forum for researchers to share cutting-edge work in finite and infinite dimensional complex analysis. This annual gathering provides invaluable opportunities for academics, researchers, educators, and students to connect and exchange ideas and experiences.

We believe that ICFIDCAA 2025 will continue to inspire and connect researchers from around the globe.

We look forward to seeing you at USM Penang this August!

  • About Penang

    ACCOMMODATION

Participants have to book their accommodation during the conference on own expenses as the conference fee does not cover accommodation. The following are some hotels situated nearby the main campus of Universiti Sains Malaysia.

*The list will be updated soon.

    ACCESS

Penang island, where the main campus of Universiti Sains Malaysia is located, is easily accessible by flights, cars, buses and trains (only till the mainland of Seberang Perai (Province Wellesley)). The Penang Bridge connecting the island and the mainland of Peninsular Malaysia is a trademark in Malaysia that has contributed significantly to the development of Penang both as a tourist and industrial centre.

To enter Penang via air, there are direct flights or flights via the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). From the Penang International Airport, the most convenient and efficient mode of transportation to get to your destination on the island is by using the airport taxi or e-hailing taxi. The popular e-hailing service is by Grab, Maxim and AirAsia. You must download the respective app before making the reservation. An airport taxi can be booked at a kiosk at the arrival hall.

    EXCURSION

    Details will be provided soon.

  • History

The conference originated when many Korean and Japanese mathematicians recognized that they drew only upon the research done in Europe and the United States, without looking at the nearest neighbourhood countries. With Joji Kajiwara of Kyushu University in Japan as Chairman, they established the Organizing Committee of the Korean-Japanese Colloquium on Finite or Infinite Dimensional Complex Analysis, and the first colloquium was held in Pusan in 1993.

Later, the committee invited their Chinese colleague Zhong Li of Peking University and extended the name of the colloquium from “Korean-Japanese” to “International” in 1995. Since year 2000, the conference has been named as International Conference on Finite or Infinite Dimensional Complex Analysis and Applications.
